SAN ANTONIO - SAPD traffic investigators say a second teenager from Brandeis High School has died after an accident.

Sixteen-year-old Georgina Rodriguez passed away overnight after her family removed her from life support Wednesday.  Rodriguez and three classmates were on their lunch break Tuesday when their car crashed into a truck.  Seventeen-year-old Gabby Lerma died at the scene.

The two other students are still in the hospital.  Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

I know Georgina Rodriguez and her parent. And I remember Georgina, when she was baby so beautiful as like her mother. Last time, I saw her mother to carry with Georgina baby at all time. Her mother was so very happy at the moment. so now I am shock and of course, I am sad about them. This is a real EMOTIONAL so very much. (my eye tear) I pray God to help Rodriguez's family be strong in their heart as someday.

Didn't she die the following day after her parents took her off life support!!!!? So this is not new to us. May she rest in peace.

It's a shame these kids die due to the stupidity of the drivers of these cars, but isn't it against the law to ride in a car without a seat belt on? If not maybe we could add this to the new new Obama gun control laws. Probably be just about as effective, just like don't steal or cheat on your taxes or any of the other unenforced laws on the books. We have to save every one from themselves. Common sense has completely disappeared from the face of the earth.

I think this is a mystery, but God never makes a mistake. She has a higher purpose in heaven that we are not allowed to understand.

Kids make mistakes. It's apart if life these teen lives will be missed.we should all pray for the ones who had died and there family.we need to honor and remember their life not their death look at the good things they have done for this world not the bad. Honor their family's for creating beautiful children. Even though they lived a short life they lived it to the fullest. This isn't the time to blame each other it's the time to join together and help the ones in need. Also pray that it was not you had that had to die or family or friends. God never makes mistakes this was supposed to happen for a reason something good will come out of this.all you need is hope and will. God bless you all.

eli .... parent's fault!!!! THEY bought the car! If you think a handful of teachers and admin are going to stop over a thousand kids from sneaking off campus during lunch you are sadly mistaken (or mentally altered). Don't buy kid car - punish kid for getting into car of friend - check up on kid at school on random basis .... all ways to parent effectively and protect YOUR child.

I am a HS teacher and speaking from experience, there is absolutely no way schools could close campus for lunch. The schools don't have the facilities to accommodate everyone. We have upwards to 3000 students at some schools. We'd have to start lunch at 10:00 am and end at 3:00 pm in order to get everyone fed. Plus off-campus lunch is a privilege for those Juniors and Seniors that make good grades. This particular young man did not have permission to leave campus. There are check points for leaving campus however the students find ways around it. What would help is open lines of communication between the parents and their child. Remind them that they want to surround themselves with other people that are like them that make good choices. Remind them that they have a voice and can speak up if someone is doing something they don’t approve of. My heart breaks for the families and the entire Brandeis community. This was something that could have been prevented.

This young man that was driving should be charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter. I hope they fully investigate the details of this accident, including any drug tests that were ran at the hospital. How irresponsible can you be? He made a very selfish decision to do whatever he felt like, and he endangered the lives of 3 girls, in which two have suffered the ultimate consequence for his actions. These families will be haunted by this for the rest of their lives. This young man deserves to have the book thrown at him. And I hope and pray that they prosecute him to the full extent of the law. Shame on him!! My heart aches for the parents of all the parties involved in this accident, including the young man. They will have to live with the heart break that their son murdered 2 girls, and injured another, while destroying his own life in a matter of seconds. Now is the time for Susan Reed to step up to the plate and do what is right by these girls by locking him up. Such a sad story.

Some dumb kid trying to show off his fast car and this is the result. And the one that caused the tragedy doesn't lose his life. The parents are of the kid are also at fault, giving him a powerful car the likes of which an inexperienced and immature mind could not handle. Very sad. A very pretty girl's life gone forever. Condolences to the families.
