SAN ANTONIO -- A school bus driver was slightly injured when the bus he was driving went off the road on the Northeast Side.
The accident happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Northeast Loop 410, near Crownhill Boulevard. The Northeast Independent School District bus was traveling east on the access road, when the driver lost control. The bus hit a utility pole, went through a fence at the Town House Motel, and wound up in the motel's pool.
No students were on the bus. The driver had some scrapes and bruises but is expected to be all right.
