It appears that the federal, state and local governments have gotten way out of control. They are all assuming that we do not know how to take care of ourselves and that they must do it. They want, and in some cases, to control everything in our lives from our electricity, toilet water, size of auto to drive, how much we can drive, what we can have to defend ourselves and our family... The list goes on and on and I do not see any end in sight. We have become a mostly Socialist society. Allow them to continue and you will see just another socialist country where the rich will remain rich and the rest will fall in line and live with what the government allows them to live with.

No really? Government has only taken over indoctrinating us as children, our health care as adults, and our retirement as seniors. They want to tax us into submission from day#1 of employment, to the day we die, to our estate after we die. They want us to have no guns left, while they have enough weaponry and ammo to kill each of us 10 times over. They want to control what we eat and drink on a daily basis. So yes, I don't trust government. Anyone who does, is a fool.

Our government was devised by people who knew full well that you cannot trust government or people in government. It is set up in such a way as the citizenry, who once knew the dangers of government as well as the framers, can actively not trust the government and keep an eye on the scoundrels. We have three branches so they can check each other's excesses, assuming they think excesses are excesses that is and it isn't always the case. We have now fostered a public that is generally uneducated in our history and in history in general. They do not know from mankind's past experience, nor do they understand, the dangers that have always been presented by government and the bigger they they are, the worse they are. When you allow government free reign, corruption follows and I am not referring just to money. They are always going to think they need more power, more authority, more control, more participation in our lives. They are in charge and they just know better than we do. They are human and that is human nature. They cannot be trusted, except by fools.

Yet no one mentions obama and he's the worse liar in DC. I remember obama bashing President Bush about spending and how he was going to cut back, yet he has spent twice as much as Mr. Bush in one half the time.
