Not surprised here...lots of cops are dirty....they just haven't been caught or are being covered up! don't forget about DA Reed's son who was caught at the San Antonio International Airport with a gun!!!! Swept under the rug after they called his Mama !

I suggest that once again the "Lack of Respect" of the Chief by his own Officers is the underlying problem. What happened to the story of the council member's, mother and relative stopped for not yielding to an emergency vehicle and then calling the father to help with the arresting Officer? Their first comment was call the Chief in an effort not to get charge! I suggest some do it for money others for ??. On a side question: Was the Deputy on paid leave since September? Is the SAPD on paid leave despite the video of his actions? JUSTME: it's not the city, it is the people running it for the folks that voted them to office to run it.

This is unreal. The two top stories on this site are for BAD COPS! What the h377 is happening to this stupid city? Who does the hiring of our law enforcement? Do they drug test or even check criminal backgrounds?

Police officers, fire fighters, doctors, nurses, teachers: These are people who deserve so much respect...until they prove they're not trustworthy. This is so disgusting to me. If his fellow officers had any inkling of this kind of extortion going on, then they are equally guilty. Personal integrity is truly at a premium in this day and age.
