San Antonio detective arrested on family violence charge

SAN ANTONIO -- A veteran San Antonio police detective has been arrested for family violence.

SAPD identifies him as Detective Raymond Roberts, who has been with the department for 24 years.

The Wilson County Sheriff's Office says their deputies arrested Roberts at a home in Floresville, around 2:30 Saturday morning on a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence.

Roberts was bailed out of jail Saturday night, and SAPD says he will be on administrative duty while Wilson County handles the criminal investigation.

Its not fair to generalize all officers together as bad over one incident! This is not acceptable, but this is a good man. Bad situation, not acceptable, but he works hard for San Antonio and for our safety on a daily basis. San Antonio is onhe of the hardest on it's own!!!
