SAPD could make $10,000 a day easy while ticketing all the jaywalkers on Marbach and 410 by the HEB.

last week, I spoke to a representative from my councilman's office regarding a local flea market, and mentioned all the jaywalking that takes place, and mentioned the supposed crackdown. I was told that the crackdown was basically for the "downtown area".

It's about time that they crack down on jaywalkers. I live off the north end of San Pedro, between 410 and 281, and can't tell you how many times I've seen people running across 6 lanes of traffic instead of using the crosswalks..but on another note the sidewalks on this section are sorry. On the south bound side there are almost none, and the same with the northbound side. I sometimes need to use a wheelchair and in some areas I can't do it because there isn't any sidewalk..So..now who do I complain to..Why don't you guys in the news department look into that.

In the 50 minutes she was ticketing pedestrians how many reckless drivers drove past her on Fredericksburg Road? When was the last time she ticketed a driver for not stopping at a marked crosswalk, thereby forcing the pedestrian to step into the road? It is unclear from the article but remember, folks, it does not have to be a marked crosswalk in order to cross a street . . . crossing at any intersection is legal.
