SAN ANTONIO -- Former NFL Player Samuel Hurd III is back in custody. He was arrested in San Antonio this afternoon for violating conditions of his bond.
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force picked up the ex-wide receiver at a local YMCA.
Hurd had been out on bond since last December when he was arrested in Chicago on federal drug charges.
A U.S. District Court in Dallas issued an arrest warrant for Hurd after he was found in violation of his bond conditions when a urine test came back positive for marijuana.
The Lone Star Task Force tracked Hurd to San Antonio where he was visiting family. He was arrested without incident.
His trial on those drug charges is set for October 9th.
Hurd has played football for both the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys and attended Brackenridge High School in San Antonio.
