SA natives chosen to participate in presidential inaugural ceremonies

SAN ANTONIO -- Two San Antonio natives has been chosen to participate in the 57th presidential inauguration.

COL Jesse D. Galvan currently serves as the Provost Marshal, Joint Forces Headquarters-National Capital Region/Military District of Washington, Washington DC. COL Galvan is a recent graduate of the United States Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Prior to attending the U.S. Army War College, he served as the Chief of Staff and Director of Plans and Operations for the United States Army’s Military Police School (USAMPS), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Christopher Branagan will participate in the inaugural parade. Branagan is a member of the United States Army Band "Pershing's Own." Pershing's Own was founded in 1922 by Army Chief of Staff, General John J. "Black Jack" Pershing. The band's mission is to provide music for official ceremonies and special events throughout the National Capital Region.

The parade is scheduled to take place on January 21st.
