SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio firefighters stayed busy early Monday morning, fighting a fire on the Northwest Side of town.
The fire started around 2:30 a.m. Monday at a home off the 300 block of East Skyview. Firefighters believe the fire may have started in the kitchen or attic area and said it spread fast. As firefighters battled the flames, part of the roof collapsed.
The family who lives at the home was out of town at the time of the fire, so no one was inside the home. Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
Damage estimates to the home are around $80,000.
