SAN ANTONIO -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a taco stand on the Southeast Side early Friday.

Officers were called to Andrew's Tacos To Go at Southcross and Hackberry around 3:00 a.m. Friday. Investigators say the man pulled a gun on the owner of the taco stand. The owner then pulled his own gun and chased the suspect away. Both of them shot at each other, but no one was hurt.

Police say the suspect got away with some money.

cleo, do you think this great nation made it as far as it did by being 100% honest? dumbass, dont hate, get with the program. yes all trucks do have permits, and they are updated yearly.

carts and food trucks are supposed to get permits and keep them updated (there's a news article around here somewhere about that). anyway, taco truck doesn't need to be open at 3 a.m. Wait for the real morning crowds, not the graveyard hours. I would have a security camera installed on any busines I run, even if it was a cart, anything with a cash register needs extra security.

@cleo- you must have know the guy that did the robbery to attack the taco truck owner who was just defending his Business-People are tired of being robbed by these low-life punks that don't want to go out and get a real job.

Do these taco trucks need a permit to sell on the street? All unreported income. Cash business, just like the tire shop owners and ice cream trucks who make $3k-$4k a month, and claim alot less. Irritating!! I wonder if the taco vendor had a license to carry?
