Crime and criminals are taking over. Lawmakers and law enforcers are too timid and/or pusilanimous to effectively combat this scourge. Forget AIDS, bird flu, cancer, tsunamis, killer asteroids. Crime is spreading rapidly all over the place, and it seems authorities are just hiding their heads in the sand. As always, the most vulnerable victims are the poorest families (millions and millions of'em).
