A neighbor notes, "This area has kinda gone to gangs, drugs, and things.”
BEXAR COUNTY – Neighbors were suspicious of a car that was parked in the middle of a residential neighborhood with a couple sitting inside.

After deputies arrived, they found a man and woman having sex inside. But there was more, too. Also inside the car were the makings of a mobile meth lab, investigators say.

Lisa Tabler's family has lived in this neighborhood near Buckley and Tuxford for years, but she says lately nothing that goes on here surprises her.

Tabler notes “this area has kinda gone to gangs, drugs, and things.”

And early Friday morning it was drugs. It’s an unusual bust in an unlikely place.

Deputies pulled out of the car material they say is used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. They also pulled out Candace Prewitt and boyfriend, Timothy Overly.

His mom didn’t want her face on camera but said about the suspected drugs, “I had my suspicions. But, no, not for sure.”

Timothy's mom added the chemicals deputies found really aren't that harmful explaining that “people drive around with gasoline cans in the cars all the time.”

The man and woman were arrested and taken to the Bexar County Jail. They're charged with making methamphetamine.
