SAN ANTONIO -- Firefighters rushed to a chimney fire on the East Side just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
The fire broke out at an apartment home on Schley near Hackberry Avenue. The blaze destroyed the chimney as renters watched it crumble to the ground. Fire also spread to other rooms and to another apartment.
No one was hurt, but the renter is without a home.
Damage to the apartments is estimated at $20,000.
