SAN ANTONIO -- An accident on Interstate 35 caused some big traffic delays Downtown Friday.

The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. Friday on the eastbound Interstate 35 ramp to Interstate 37 South. News 4 WOAI was told a woman driving a semi-truck told police she traveling east on Interstate 35, when she was cut off by another driver. Her truck ended up slamming into a barrier and running against the ramp for about 100 yards, which ruptured her fuel tank. About 40 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto the ramp.

Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said an environmental crew will now have to clean up the spill. They predict the ramp will be shut down until around 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Ha I totally agree. What makes it so bad is it was another trucker who hit me and he didn't even have the common courtesy to stop and make sure everyone was OK much less hand over his insurance. So now because of 1 idiot driver, my flawless record has now been tarnished.

Welcome, lady trucker, to a typical day with typical drivers in Soused Antonio, where they lack the slightest courtesy and the common sense of a simple chili bean. Sheesh!
