SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio-based information technology hosting company Rackspace is expanding its service globally.

The Fortune 100-recognized business has expanded their "cloud-based" technology to the United Kingdom, giving them access to hundreds of thousands of new clients worldwide. That means if your business is expanding, Rackspace will be growing with you.

So, what is cloud-based computing?

So, cloud computing is a new model to access IT computing resources," said Jim Battenberg of Rackspace. "Where you can go over the Internet, get resources on the fly, and they can expand with your needs."

Rackspace says the new expansion gives them the competitive edge against companies like Amazon and Google.
