SAN ANTONIO -- Texas law enforcement officials need your help to track down a member of the Texas Mexican Mafia who is considered armed and dangerous.

Eddie Garza Jr. is wanted for a parole violation in connection with an attempted murder conviction. Garza shot a man four times in the chest and shoulder with a .380 pistol back in 1990. He was convicted and sentenced to 20 years for the crime. Officials say while in prison, he assaulted other inmates and staff, engaged in fighting, and refused to obey orders. He was paroled in 2011. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for parole violation on November 29, 2011.

Garza is 40 years old, 5'9" tall, and weighs about 330 pounds. He has a birthmark on the right side of his abdomen, a cut scar on outside of his left leg. Garza has a tattoo of "210" on the back of his right hand and "Only God Can Judge Me" across his chest. He also has multiple tattoos on both arms, including a dragon, flames, swirls, a skull, Aztec female figures, bars, a mask, a pyramid, and the words "South," "Smile Now Cry Later," and "Medel" on his left arm; and a red devil with wings, a globe, smoke, a female Indian with feather hat, a sun, and pyramid on his upper right arm.

Garza also goes by the names Eddie Medel, Eddie Medel Garza, Bear, and Heavy. His last known address is 3022 Coconino Drive in San Antonio.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Eddie Garza Jr.

He should have been double tapped in the head by staff just for refusing to obey orders. I would buy their self defense claim and we would all move on. Anyone else in the jail not want to obey orders? God I hate people who don't obey orders. Those are the worst.

"Shot a man four times...assaulted other inmates and staff...fighting and refused to obey orders" SO, how exactly was he eligible for parole! This POS needed to remain locked up for the rest of his pathetic life. Our justice system at work, anyways, pork chops anyone? @rhancox, a person doesn't get paroled when you've completed your full sentence and this guy had to have additional years added to his original sentence for fighting and assaulting others. He didn't serve all of his time and somehow was eligible for parole?

Well Shadow, he served all 20 yrs of his sentence. Are we supposed to keep him in jail because we think he might offend again? I agree, he's a scary one to have around, but this is still America.
