SAN ANTONIO -- A purse snatcher targets a grandmother in a motorized wheelchair.

The robbery happened near Goliad and Pecan valley on the Southeast Side. Police say a woman was going down Dollarhide with her two grandchildren when a man at a bus stop asked for the time. The granddaughter started to grab a cell phone to check the time, but her grandma says she knew something was wrong.

"I told her don't, don't, don't pick up the phone," the grandmother told us. "And by the time I said that, he was right behind me and grabbing my purse."

She says her granddaughter started screaming, thinking her grandma was hurt. No one was physically harmed, just shaken up.

The purse snatcher took off in a black BMW.
