SAN ANTONIO -- Animal cruelty officers are investigating after a puppy was burned and dumped in a trash bag on the Southeast Side.
The puppy was discovered near a home on Hicks Street, right by Highlands High School. The homeowner saw the bag, found the dog alive, and called
Animal Care Services.
The puppy was picked up and is now under the care of ACS veterinarians.
Cruelty investigators are trying to determine exactly how the dog was injured.
