Public pools open for Spring Break

SAN ANTONIO -  In an effort to offer people even more opportunities to stay active and fit, the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department will once again open four regional pools for Spring Break, March 12 through March 17, 2013.

The regional pools are:
  • Heritage at 1423 Ellison Dr.
  • Lady Bird Johnson at 10700 Nacogdoches
  • South Side Lions at 3100 Hiawatha
  • Woodlawn at 221 Alexander Ave. 
Lap swimming is offered Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and open swimming is offered Tuesday through Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. 

Admission is free.

Hope these pools are heated

Kids will have a lot more fun if they can play with the right floaties, only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed, which can be found at Walmart fairly inexpensively, but cheap plastic floaties like wings are not allowed. My kids always had more fun with their floaties, don't let the lifeguards ruin their fun, be informed.
