SAN ANTONIO- A family desperate to find their mother is taking an unusual step to try to find answers. Pauline Diaz vanished Dec. 7, 2010 and now her family has hired a psychic to help bring her home.
With multiple law enforcement agencies and a private detective working the case, the Diaz family says hiring a psychic is a last resort. Gharith Pendragon is a psychic investigator, who has assisted federal and state law enforcement agencies, including the Coast Guard and the Air Force.
"She knew she was in danger because of what she knew," Pendragon said about Diaz. "She had been warned about this person."
Pendragon visited the HEB where Diaz worked and where she was last seen. He also visited her house on the far southeast side, but said he didn't believe the abduction happened there. Pendragon says he was receiving "images" of the person or persons who were involved.
"Whoever the culprit is, there are people who have a pretty solid idea of what he did. But they're not coming forward," he said.
Pendragon will take the images he sees and describe them to an artist who can create a sketch of the person or persons involved in the crime. He's working for the Diaz family for free and says he has a 85-95 percent accuracy rate.
"I have a track record of 26 years including helping with federal agents on cases that at the time they happened," he said.
