SAN ANTONIO - President Barack Obama is on the campaign trail and made a stop in San Antonio Tuesday.

President Obama attended a fundraising event at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. The event was hosted by actress Eva Longoria and Mayor Julian Castro, among others. Obama spoke for about 45 minutes at the Downtown fundraiser. Not everyone was happy to see the president. Close to 200 protesters lined East Market and South Alamo Streets as the president arrived.

After the luncheon, the president headed to a private fundraiser at The Dominion on the Far Northwest Side.

The president will then be flown to Austin for an event co-sponsored by the Democratic National Committee's LGBT Council.

Obama hopes to raise a projected five million dollars on the trip.

Romney on attack in Pa.; Obama collects Texas cash

JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press

IRWIN, Pa. (AP) - Mitt Romney is seizing on a comment from President Barack Obama as evidence that the Democrat favors a government-centered society.

Obama told supporters in Virginia last week that entrepreneurs didn't build their businesses on their own. He cited government research that helped create the Internet.

Romney said Tuesday that Obama's comment was "startling and revealing."

The likely Republican presidential nominee is intensifying attacks against the president as Democrats and a growing number of Republicans urge Romney to release several years of personal income tax returns.

Romney told a Pittsburgh-area crowd that "he's ashamed" that Obama "hands out money to the businesses of campaign contributors." He also said Obama's suggestion that successful business leaders got government help is "just foolishness."

Baven's comment was in no way racist, and if one reading it couldn't understand the context of the comment as a reply to SATXlady, then I sympathize with that one for the honeycomb between that one's ears. Baven's comment was a statement of fact in context and response to SATXlady's post. Now, back to purring for Hubby.

You can do that on MYSA.com? Wow!! I've only passed by there a couple of times and left one or two comments. Might need to check them out more often. Took the laptop in for repairs today and bought a new CPU, which I'll try to get set up tomorrow. Now, just need to get the 6 week old Netgear router working again. It's been down for over two weeks!!!
