SAN ANTONIO -- A pregnant woman and another woman are recovering after they were run down just outside the Alamodome. It all started when a couple began to argue after a concert Saturday night.

According to police, several people managed to break up the fight. Officers say the couple took off in their car and that's when the man who was driving struck the two women. He also hit several parked cars.

The driver faces charges of DWI and aggravated assault. The pregnant woman was taken to the hospital for observation and labor was induced on Sunday.

The other woman suffered leg injuries.

Does Dodie speculate on marital status every time a pregnant woman is mentioned in a news story? There is not one single word in the story indicating whether she's married or not. I think St. Paul had a few words to say about busybodies.

Dodie.....you say the woman needs to have her kid taken away from her if she is not married? What is this 1950? Geez get over yourself! Not every kid ends up being trash from a single parent! I, for one, am a single mother. My beautiful son is on his last year in college at UCLA Medical. He has made his own way into college with fantastic grades, and with absolutely no help from his father. My son was raised in a loving 'Christian' home and has had a really great life. And just a thought here, you may want to find out more info on someone in a news article BEFORE you start assuming they are having a child out of wedlock. I mean, you wouldn't want anyone assuming your a dumba$$ because of your comments.....

Dode Dumbozo.......I believe that the husband was the lout with a snoot full of cervesa tha hit the lady. She was po'd because he was slobbering and stepping all over his tounge at the site of the "hot" tamales he saw duing the cajunto festival. Can't understad her being mad, she ought to be used to it by now.

annoyed, I see you are one of those who are involved with the new "Jesus Lite" movement. God has been very clear about the result of sin. People who are not redeemed have to go to Hell when they die. You can try to put a smiley face on it, but the facts don't vary from one generation to another. Saved Christians wind up in Heaven and everyone else goes to Hell. Good thought and intentions won't get you into Heaven. Only salvation will get you to Heaven and that is available only through Jesus. Also, this is a limited time offer. Once you die, it is too late. That's why it is best to not put off accepting Jesus in case anything untoward happens. Christians are bid by the Lord to go forth and spread the Good News of God's love and to rail against sin. This is God's work and we cannot shirk it. Our lot is to bring the unsaved to Jesus. Our's is an angry god, stern and unyielding, cruel and yet just. Kinder, gentler Jesus is an invention of the Devil's people. Accept Jesus and live forever. Accept Him not and you will have to go to Hell. Don't go there; it's too hot.

I am so tired of so called "christians" condemning other people to hell for this and that. I am to a christian and let me just say this is not what God is about. Comments like "Dodie's" & "Carmen's (frequently comments on stories)" quickly turn people off to God. This is unfortunate because they are very confused about God and His love and yet are writing stuff that could very well influence people's attitudes about God. People are trying to find their way to God, and yet people who claim to be christians but are so very judgmental of everyone quickly turn them away. It's very unfortunate. If Christian people like you guys have so much to say, maybe you should get off the computer and hit the streets and actually speak to people about the love of God, not his condemnation. Read the Bible & get your facts straight before you start trying to tell people how to live. This website is about news. Let's leave it that way.

I wonder if this woman has a husband. If not, she needs to have that child taken away from her and placed in an orphanage. Children born out of wedlock have no chance of making it to heaven, but they can at least be raised in a Christian orphanage or in Christian home where they will be taught not to steal, take dope, and act like trash.
