SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a possible shooting victim crashed his van into a concrete ditch, about a mile-and-a-half away from where neighbors reported hearing shots fired Tuesday evening.
The red van crashed into the ditch on Moursund near Ashley Road at about 9 p.m. Police say the 48-year-old driver appeared to have been shot twice and was conscious and talking to paramedics when he was pulled from the wreckage and taken to SAMMC. He was the only one inside the van.
Investigators said several neighbors near Altura and Drury called 911 to report a shooting and one witness saw a red van leaving the scene. Police had no information about what caused the shooting or who else may have been involved.
