SAN ANTONIO -- A man who is a suspect in two West Side robberies is behind bars after police say he was turned in by his wife.
Police arrested 29-year-old Johnny Reyes Thursday. Investigators say his wife showed up at the East Side police substation on Tuesday and said her husband had told her he committed a robbery and had since been calling and threatening her if she told anyone.
According to investigators, the details she provided matched those of a robbery of a Jack in the Box restaurant. After reviewing surveillance video, investigators said they learned Reyes was the same suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of a Dollar General Store on Culebra Road, just a few block away from the Jack in the Box.
Reyes has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
