Exactly Girau . I know the kid that was involved in this he told a friend of mine that he looked in his mirror and saw the officer . and then when he when to switch lanes he looked again thought the lane was clear . he came over only to hear some thing hit the back of his van witch was the cop. so if any thing here the cop wasn't on top of his game ether .

Unfortunately I am not surprise to hear stories like this. I work around that area and I do notice that most drives over their drive with no regard on what around them especialy when it comes to motorcycles on the road. Also if people were to properly adjust their mirrors in their car (provided they have the proper mirrors in their vehicle)and learn how to pay attention to the road, then maybe this accident could of been avoided.

This comment is for you gofigure. I do this everyday and provide a dangerous service for the deceased person. To give them honor. We do this in the rain, snow, heat and it does not matter. We do not do it for the fun of it, we do it for respect and yes it is very dangerous. We work hard at what we do and we take the chance of that danger to provide that honor. So do me the favor and watching for us as we do for you and your safety.

He was probably riding the bike for a funeral escort. Those guys make between $200-$300 for every funeral escort. Hope he is ok, and his orange money maker is ok too.
