SAN ANTONIO--Police are investigating a shooting on the south side. Investigators said a Hispanic man in his 30's was shot in his car on the 700 block of W. Amber and Commercial Avenue.

"The details of the shooting are very sketchy because we're getting real vague information at this time of how it actually happened, " replied Sgt. Anastacio Hernandez.

Sgt. Hernandez said the unknown victim was shot once in the leg, and transported to an area hospital. The victim ran out of his car and ended up on the next street. The shooter fled and and police are still searching for him. "We had our eagle up looking for a vehicle that might have been a black ford explorer, " replied Sgt. Hernandez.

Police don't believe the victim lives in the neighborhood, and he's expected to be okay. "Obviously he was targeted by somebody, and for what reason I don't know at this time, " added Sgt. Hernandez.

SAPD should not even be wasting man hours plus chopper flight time looking for those maggots. Let them take care of their own crap. The hospitals should also demand proof of medical insurance before they get admitted like they do with hard working folks. Those idiots are playing shoot em up and then run to the hospital without a worry in the world. We need some kind of legislation that would put an end to all those freebies.
