SAN ANTONIO -- Police arrested one man and are searching for another after the pair allegedly tried to pay for their meal with counterfeit cash at a Northeast Side restaurant.

Investigators said the men were in the drive-thru at the Whataburger in the 13,900 block of O'Connor Road around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, when they tried to pay with a fake $20 bill. The manager realized the bill was fake and called police.

An officer arrived at the restaurant in time to detain the suspects, but both were able to run off. Police caught up with one of the suspects. The other was able to escape.

While searching the suspects' vehicle, police said they found more fake money and firearms.

Secret Service was notified and is now investigating the case.
