SAN ANTONIO -- A mother is facing charges after police say she left her two children home alone while she was at a bar.
According to the arrest affidavit, 22-year-old Esmeralda Lorena Trejo is charged with abandoning and endangering a child. Trejo's roommate found a 5-year-old child and a 4-year-old child home alone in the 300 block of Micklejohn Street. The affidavit says the roommate tried to call and text Trejo only to find out she was at a bar.
Trejo was taken into custody Sunday night.
