SAN ANTONIO -- A 24-year-old man is in critical condition after police say he was shot outside a North side apartment early Saturday.
According to police, upon arrival to the scene in the 500 block of Everest Street officers found the victim identified as Jose Mendoza Jr. with a gunshot wound to his chest.
The victim was taken to the University Hospital in critical condition around 3 a.m.
Police say no suspects have been identified at this time. The case remains under investigation, police said.
