NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a credit union Friday morning.
The New Braunfels Police Department said their office responded to a call from
Canyon High School about a man with a gun who was allegedly seen on the campus shortly before 9:00 a.m. Friday. Officers from both the New Braunfels Police Department and the Comal County Sheriff's Office were sent to the school to provide security.
While the officers were at the school, the New Braunfels Police Department received a call around 9:15 a.m. about an armed robbery at the Security Service Credit Union located at 1692 Highway 46 West. Witnesses at the credit union told officers a man who was dressed in dark women's clothing and wearing a wig and sunglasses, entered the credit union, displayed a weapon, and demanded money. Police said he fled on foot to the back of the credit union with an undetermined amount of cash.
No one was injured in the armed robbery.
