Police say Jamie and Jeremy Brown gave a truck to Heather Kaminsky in January, shortly after Kaminsky gave birth to a son. Investigators say Kaminsky later sold the truck for $800 and drugs.

a majority of you confused the picture with the story. the folks in the picture are the ones that had the truck and gave the truck for the baby. the lady that had the baby hasn't even been found yet. and the stupid cops in kentucky don't even know what to charge her with. what the F!

@FDNY1983, agreed, sometimes, people will go to extremes to adopt a child. In this case, trading a truck and while may not be the best route, the very things you mention make adoption for some, unlikely. They seem to have cared for the child then, let them keep and care for the child. There are far worst things that could've happen to this baby, just consider the mom later sold the truck for drugs.

By looking at the size of these two you know it wasnt COKE or Heroin. Is Krispy Creame considered drugs?

Wow. While I can't say I condone exchanging a baby for a truck, if these two wanted a baby and couldn't afford the outrageous cost of adoption I could see why they went about it the way they did. Childless couples are required to pay upwards of $40K to adopt a child no one else wants and the state is unlikely to really be able to adequately care for, yet families seeking to take these children in are required to fork over THOUSANDS of dollars just to take in said child. While these two do look disheveled and do look like they haven't seen the inside of a bathtub for weeks, the fact authorities say the child was cared for makes me feel for them. I don't know their background, but I do know what it's like to NOT be able to have a child of my own and the frustrations of having to go into debt and take out loans just to adopt a child. Granted, I know better than to barter babies and trucks, but again, I understand where these two may have been coming from. Bottom line at this point is that I pray this baby has a happy ending.

Poor child! At least he wasn't left in a hot car to die; beaten to death by a boyfriend babysitter; or starved to death like so many children in this city... Since appearances aren't everything, they may be the best parents for this baby if they care enough to give up their vehicle for him.
