SAN ANTONIO - A man is being treated at the hospital after being attacked by a pit bull on the East Side.
The attack happened Monday morning on Gibbs Street near North Polaris Street. The man was walking on a sidewalk when the dog broke the chain he was on and bit the man in the ankle and thigh.
The man lost a lot of blood and was taken to the hospital.
The dog was picked up by Animal Care Services.
It is unclear as to whether the dog owner will be charged or cited.
