SAN ANTONIO- A never before seen surveillance photo may be the key to finding a woman missing for nearly 18 months. 63-year-old Pauline Diaz was last seen at the H-E-B at Southeast Military and Goliad on Dec. 7, 2010. A newly released photo shows an unidentified woman who may have been the last person to see Diaz alive.
Surveillance video shows Diaz walking out of the H-E-B at about 2:30 that afternoon. She stops and talks to a woman in the parking lot and the two look at Diaz' truck. An enhanced photo shows that woman, who appears to be wearing a red shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.
"Now, either this lady is a decoy used by the person that caused her (Diaz) to be missing, or she's just a woman that came out of H-E-B. We have to find out," private investigator Charlie Parker said.
Parker has been investigating the case since the beginning and is trying to reach out to Diaz' estranged husband.
"We have to communicate. My job is not to catch you or harm you in any way. My job is to bring Pauline back home to the family," he said.
Neither of her daughters recognized the woman, but they hope someone out there will.
"I know someone out there knows. I want them to have the strength and the heart to help us," Paula Martinez said.
If you recognize the woman in the picture, call investigator Charlie Parker at (210) 826-4052. There is an $8,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
