SAN ANTONIO - People living on the west side fear their homes are being targeted by thieves.

Annabell Hernandez's parents home off the 9000 block of Ivy Plain was the target of an attempted burglary. Hernandez's 14-year-old sister was home alone when a thief barged into the house.

"He opens the door, grabs her, gives her a little shake and pushes her down to the ground, " added Hernandez.

The teen hit her head on a coffee table and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Hernandez saw a previous report News 4 WOAI aired about a home burglary in the El Sontero subdivision near Highway 151 and Ingram Road, just minutes from her parents' house.

The burglary was caught on a neighbors surveillance camera.

"I saw it and I just knew," Hernandez went on to say.

Hernandez said she believes the same thieves caught breaking into the the home in El Sontero also attempted to break into her parents' house.

Anyone with any information in these cases is urged to contact SAPD or the Bexar County Sheriff's office.
