I realoze that pregnant women wish to work as long as possible before starting medical leave, however it would seem that in certain occupations that leave should start earlier so as not to put them at risk for something like this.

1. Why was the patient combative? Was it due to his illness or was have AMS? I think as a medic, police office, etc you are doing that job understanding the risks that come with it. A combative patient is just part of the job. It may not be his fault if there was something wrong with him. 2.
