SAN ANTONIO - Police say one man is in the hospital and another in custody after a driver led officers on a chase early Tuesday.
The chase happened shortly before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday west of Downtown near Perez Street and North Sabinas Street. Investigators said officers spotted a car being driven erratically. When police attempted to stop the car, the driver sped off. Officers said a passenger inside the vehicle jumped out of the moving car. He suffered multiple head injuries.
Police said the driver continued, leading them on a short chase. The car then crashed into a ditch about a mile away.
Investigators said the driver of the car is now facing charges.
