I think the students wearing a microchipped ID badge while at school is a great idea. Bad things happen and if the school had a bomb threat or terrorist threat the school would be able to track where the students were and if anyone went missing during the lockdown. The teachers and staff should also wear the badges while at the school. No one is tracking them when they are off campus so I don't understand why so many people think it is an invasion of privacy and religious beliefs? Is it written in the bible somewhere that humans should not wear tracking devices that could possibly save their lives? I think all schools should follow suit and have all their students wear microchipped ID badges.

Your work computer should be monitored for numerous reasons, including it's not your personal property. Security is vital in today's society, especially with government jobs (another reason to monitor your work computer). You can't pay me enough to have a smartphone. I use mine for phone calls and don't even text outside of certain very limited reasons. My life and my privacy are mine, and I'll protect it as best I can.

My work computer is monitored, I use a badge to enter my workplace, I can be located via my smartphone. This is the world we live in, get over it.

Teachers should be paid more, but put a camera in their classroom like Bill Gates suggests, I am sure miracles will happen. And schools should be getting kids more job-oriented with high paying jobs, not just glorified babysitting. There's too many 15 year old drug dealers supported by uncle and grandmas at home or in and out prison. The ID is overboard though. Add more cameras and judge the teachers more.

Whatever happened to good old paper and pencil? There is an easy fix to this situation. Goes kind of like this, bell rings attendance is called. If your rear end is not "PARKED" (definition: in chair, books out, and ready to learn) in a chair your absent. If you walk in while attendance is being taken then you are late. If you are tardy three times in a nine-week semester and you get to spend time during lunch eating PB&J with the School District Superintendant. You don't want to go to school. Another easy fix, you are breaking the law so the police can just arrest you and take you to the School District Superintendant. See three problems fixed. #1 Students tracked, #2 Students who fail to follow instruction reeducated, #3 School District Superintendant earning their over inflated paycheck.
