Packed town hall meeting on Pre-K 4 SA

- How do you feel about paying an eighth of a cent sales tax to make sure more kids get a pre-k education? That was the question Tuesday night at a packed town hall meeting on the mayor's Pre-K 4 SA initiative.

I am a Democrat, and I completely support education as an investment in our future. What I CAN'T support is allowing government to take even more money out of our pockets. We did NOT need new Christmas lights for the Riverwalk, we did NOT need to spend over $100K renaming a street, and we do NOT need to spend millions to buy a mansion and turn it into public housing. I'm sure there have been many other unnecessarily funded projects that ate away at our budget. The more $$ we allow government to take from us, the more ways they will find to spend it. Don't believe me? Look at what historically happened with Medicare. It was supposed to be an untouchable fund, but Uncle Sam decided that cookie jar was just too tasty to leave alone.

NISD trustees and superintendent have been provided with documentation detailing the ONGOING criminal conspiracy to defraud taxpayers/federal programs. Other districts to follow asap.......... Taxpayers have the right to ask Castro to provide an accounting of the tens of millions of OUR dollars that were stolen/misused for the past three decades BEFORE we have a tax increase shoved down our throats............. Henry Cisneros had his HUD scandal and now “Obama For America” campaign co-chairman/Mayor Julian Castro has his – It’s “déjà vous all over again” (Yogi Berra).............. Castro has been reported to the FBI, the DOJ, HUD, AACOG, TDHCA, the AG , etc. for his part in a criminal conspiracy to hide three decades of public/police corruption and the theft/misuse of tens of millions of City/State/Federal dollars , massive HUD fraud and the submission of false statements to federal investigators - case # hl-10-0465...................http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9VL1nPBeak............ http://www.sanantoniolightning.com/enemy10.html

its starts with a cent then ends up on our phone bill. If julian is so concerned he should get his followers to volunteer and have class at every Saha housing office. that would save the city money on bus transportation. We will soon be paying for free wifi at every location so it should come together well.

Rather than focusing on pre k(babysitting)...lets focus on the education for children in elementary to high school.

22,000 over 8 years! not no but HELL NO! Castro take your "toys" and go home! The people it helps already have ALL THE GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS THEY NEED...if I gotta fund the baby making machines to I get to spank them too! Child support in the form of a TAX. Oh yeah, Castro is JUST LIKE OBAMA! Then they will divert the money just like the lottery, and by then they will all have "fled" office!

If people are interested in their children's education they will put the effort into coaching their child at home, they, and we the taxpayers do not need to throw money at the issue. If you want to help your child succeed then read to them at home, eat dinner together as a family, and have open discussions with your children. Do not allow the television to be your child's babysitter. Do not allow your children to listen to rap music. (Yes, I said it.) Do not smoke dope, get drunk, or fight and argue in front of your children. Do not cuss in front of your young children. Yes, MF'er is a cuss word and should be avoided. If you have two or more children whose father's are incarcerated you should seriously look at getting spayed. Do not be a negative example to your children by being a two legged parasite who sustains on public assistance when you are perfectly capable of working. Get a job and have some pride. Do not get tatoos on your face and neck. They are trashy, and nobody really cares. They also make it harder for you to get a job. Be a positive example to your children. Show your children what it means to contribute to society and make the world a better place, rather than one who is always looking for a handout. I always say you can be mean if you are honest. If parents abide by these simple rules we do not ned a tax increase, but we do still need a better mayor.

Tax subsidised baby sitting for the lazy baby-mamas. This way they can pick up their welfare checks, food stamps, and WIC freebies without the fuss of multiple paychecks running around and disturbing her Maury viewing. God forbid that one of the baby-daddys appear on the show. Or is that COPS? Plus, what language will they be teaching in these PK classes? Give you one guess. So let's raise more children who will never assimilate into society. More voters for Obama and Castro. If these two keep it up, we will have 47% of our population entitled. Ooops, did I say that out loud?

“There are 678 publicly funded or privately operated pre-k facilities in San Antonio today, why is it necessary for the city which is not responsible for pre-k education in Texas, to step in and reinvent pre-k?” Because they want more income to be able to pull from / divert funding into their personal pay raises and waste the money on other non-needed/wanted projects.
