As a pro-choice person, I am torn by the morning after pill. It should be used sparingly and only dispense by a medical person. The possible side effects include hemoragging and death. Seeing as Bexar County is the teen pregnacy capital, the current state of sex ed is a dismal failure. Time for real life health information. I am tired of the dead and maimed baby parade in the news everyday- mostly at the hands of the too young to be parents.

@Superpurs: So, where to do you fit into the equation personal integrity/responsibility? Your Lorena Bobbit comment was offensive, in my opinion. I know what you're hinting at with the "dispense the pill to the teachers" comment. Neither is a possible resolution to the problem, and both are truthfully antagonistic remarks. I don't want a whole host of unwanted and/or abused children out there from children having babies. At the same time, I don't want to indescriminately hand out birth control (at tax payer expense and without parental consent), or the morning after pill (again, possibly without parental consent). Problem is, that's not where the problem is!!! Who is controlling and influencing the growth of these children? Parents seem to be leaving it up to the schools and teachers, yet teacher's have their hands tied in reality as to education and discipline. Then, there are those "teachers" that are part of the problem and do not have the mental fortitude or maturity to NOT participate, influence, and/or be part of the problem. I do not find the increase of teacher/student sex liasons and cases simple, silly, obtuse, or something to ignore. I don't fully blame the teachers involved, either. It is a system wide failure that includes and encompasses the students and their parents and their teachers in the full investigation of fault finding. Don't sit here and type in stupid accusations without thought. Don't sit here and assign blame without thought and FACTS. Don't sit here and assign blame and retribution with a full grasp on all the facts and dynamics involved.
