Owner injured as flames engulf Far West Side home

SAN ANTONIO -- Flames engulfed a Far West Side home Monday evening.

Firefighters were called to a house in the 500 block of Point Springs, near Potranco Road and Talley Road around 6:00 p.m. When crews arrived, flames had already spread over the back of the home and part of the roof had collapsed into the attic.

The homeowner was injured and was treated at the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The house was a total loss.
