SAN ANTONIO -- Authorities have arrested 28-year-old Anthony Donell Roberts. He's accused of killing 29-year-old Shuwayne Green after a shooting Thursday night at the Saddlewood Apartments near Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel.
Police say the shooting happened after both men began arguing over an unidentified woman, outside of her apartment. According to the arrest affidavit, Roberts fired a shot, striking Green in the abdomen around 10 p.m. Thursday. Green was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment and died six hours later on Friday.
According to the affidavit, Roberts and the woman have children together and had been involved in an on-and-off relationship. The affidavit also states Green had befriended the woman and both men had verbally argued before.
Members of the Lone Start Fugitive Task Force arrested Roberts without incident at his home located off Castle Brook Drive. Roberts is charged with first degree murder and is currently being held in the Bexar County Jail on a $100,000 bond. At the time of his arrest, he also had another active warrant out for driving while intoxicated for the second time.
