SPRING BRANCH, Texas -- A Smithson Valley High School student is recovering after officials say he was attacked by three other students.

A Comal County ISD spokeswoman confirmed the 18-year-old senior was assaulted Wednesday and was airlifted to a hospital as a precaution. The spokesperson said the students who are accused of attacking the teen are facing disciplinary action.

The Comal County Sheriff's Office is investigating the attack. A spokesperson for the department said the initial report states the three suspects took $60 from the victim and attacked him by punching him in the head several times.

Details about the injured teen's condition have not been confirmed.

Now we hear that the school is not covering any of the medical expenses because charges were filed against the boys. They almost put the the young man out. He is traumatized. If he doesn't file charges the school will pay the medical expenses. Sounds like blackmail to me!

Disciplinary action? If the Hispanic would have initiated the attack he would be sitting in jail with trumped up charges.

The assault victim was airlifted? Uh the three seniors involved should be going to maximum security for 12 months. And I'd like to know if student race was involved here in any way.
