SAN ANTONIO -- Police ended up arresting two people when they tried to capture a man accused of assaulting a child.

News 4 WOAI was told officers showed up at the DaVita Southwest San Antonio Dialysis Center in the 7500 block of Barlite on the Southwest Side around 9:30 a.m. to arrest 26-year-old Timothy Paul Duenes. Duenes was reportedly wanted on a charge of aggravated assault of a child.

News 4 WOAI was also told the manager at the clinic refused to let the warrant officers inside to arrest Duenes, so they had to crawl through a window. Once inside, the officers arrested Duenes. They then also arrested the manager for not complying with a peace officer.

I doubt the manager was hiding anything. Dialysis centers have very tight controls placed on them by the state. The patient was most likely receiving treatment. If the officer wanted to arrest him they would have to discontinue treatment, which you can't simply do with just the push of a button. It takes about 15-20 minutes. Also, if the patient had any length of time left on his treatment (say a couple of hours), the center would be violating state regs by discontinuing him early without his (the patient) approval or a doctors order to do so. The officer was probably asked to wait outside the treatment area so as to keep the center in compliance with state regs and he didn't want to do that. I'm guessing it was probably more a case of the officer throwing his weight around, not the manager. I guess we won't know until we hear the rest of the story.

Nice! Awesome work. And shame on that backboneless manager for not allowing justice to be served for that child.

Unfortunately, I can't imagine seeing this happen. When the police office was handling the warrant he should have been already entering and making the arrest. If this guy was getting treatment, than their would have been a problem and the officer may be in trouble. There are grounds as to compliance.

Good that they arrested Duenes, And good that they also arrested the manager for not complying. I wonder what the manager was hiding?

I wish I could have been there to see the manager being hauled off in cuffs!! Give some people a little authority and they think they rule the world.

Glad they arrested the manager. What in the world makes people think that their property are some kind of sovereign property that they can keep someone ordered by a judge from serving a lawful order from the judge. They should fire the manager also.
