SAN ANTONIO -- A San Antonio police officer is now on indefinite suspension after he shot and killed a man back in July.
The officer, 33-year-old Michael Garza is appealing the suspension. He had been on administrative duty since July 27 when he shot and killed Alfredo Aragon.
Police say it started with a confrontation involving the officer's former roommate and Aragon, who was her ex-boyfriend.
The undercover officer shot and killed Aragon in front of Aragon's house. Garza said he shot Aragon because he feared for the safety of the children inside.
