Officer hurt when truck hits police car

SAN ANTONIO -- An officer responding to an accident on I-35 and Laredo spots a truck driving towards him and narrowly escapes serious injury.

This happened at 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

The officer dove into his vehicle to avoid getting hit, but a truck slammed into the rear of the police unit.

The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The driver of the truck was taken in on suspicion of DWI.

Unbelievable, no wait, it's believable. Officer responding to a accident possibly involving a drunk, gets hit by a drunk. Need to keep the cops off the streets. They are in the way of the ultility poles that the drunks are try ing to hit!

I swear to God officer, I did not see that police car parked in the middle of the road with it's emergency lights on. Honest...D.A. !!
