SAN ANTONIO - For the first time in a long time there are no bans on fireworks this Fourth of July. Vendors will start selling them this weekend.

But before you get too excited, the San Antonio Fire Department has a reminder; fireworks are never allowed within city limits.

You can, however, shoot them off in the county.

So what if the judge bans them again this year. Who in the heck observed the ban in the past? Nobody that is who. I will celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks as I do every year with fireworks ban or not.

I hate them with a passion...wish they would ban them for good!!!

The only thing we can do i prepare for the worst and hope for the best but def people need to use common sense.

The ban has never stopped anyone in my neighborhood from firing them off... Too many people do it so enforcing a ban is nearly impossible...

The "ban" was on aerial fireworks such as rockets, which they did not allow the vendors to sell. Since they're for sale now for the first time in a long time, due to the bountiful rain, I am going to STOCK UP on them like people did with ammo after obama was elected!
