CIBOLO, Texas -- Police have released new information in the deaths of two siblings whose bodies were found at a home in Cibolo Monday.

Investigators say 68-year-old Patricia Peek of Cibolo and her brother, 51-year-old Keith Tanner of Austin, were found dead at Peek's home Monday morning.

Autopsy results show Peek died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. The trauma appears to have been caused by a bar stool and a large stone which were found inside the residence. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Officials say Tanner died from a single gunshot wound to the chest, and a handgun was recovered beside his body.

Investigators met with family members on Wednesday. They learned that Tanner had mailed a package to a family member on Saturday, November 24th which contained a hand written letter from Tanner outlining plans to take his own life.

Officials with the Cibolo Police Department said the investigation will remain open pending the outcome of forensic testing of evidence recovered from the scene.
