SAN ANTONIO - Roberto Barron, 38, is facing an aggravated assault charge after police say he stabbed his wife Teresa Barron outside of Bonham Academy.

The incident took place Tuesday morning on South St. Mary's Street around 10 in the morning.

According to court documents, Teresa Barron filed for divorce from her husband Roberto back on August 22nd. The documents also showed Barron filed for a temporary restraining order. A hearing was scheduled for this Friday, August 31st, but Tuesdays incident changed everything.

Police said Barron stabbed his wife several times after an argument outside the school their daughter attended.

"We are all real saddened about the situation, and we were all very hurt to find out what had happened, " said Mary Hernandez, a Bonham Academy parent.

Hernandez said despite the tragedy, she commends the school for taking action quickly.

"There was no panic, and I'm just very proud of Bonham the way they handled themselves yesterday, and we had the utmost confidence coming back today," said replied.

At last check Teresa Barron was listed in critical condition at San Antonio Military Medical Center.

Court records state the couple has been married since 1994.

AbsoluteReason How is stabbing someone selfless? Abusive men frequently beat, attack or even kill women who try to leave them because they think they OWN them and apparently they believe if they can't have them no one else will. More than 3 women are murdered by husbands or boyfriends every day and the #1 cause of death of pregnant women is homicide by the baby's father. (See kcsdv.org/stats.html for the source.)

Why does this "update" omit the fact that this woman's life was saved and the perpetrator apprehended by an armed citizen? Why does it falsely infer she was saved by the school authorities action? Does that fact run counter to the preferred narrative that guns are dangerous and no one should have them?

Patriot Twin, How is it selfish, i.e. in your self-interest, to stab the mother? A man acting in his self-interest acts to gain and/or keep what he values. This is textbook selfless.

Man stabs the mother of his child ~ can't get much more selfish than that. Kudos to the bystander!

Because pronouns can be used in place of nouns, they avoid the monotonous repetition of nouns.

To lie by omission is to remain silent and thereby withhold from someone else a vital piece (or pieces) of information. The silence is deceptive in that it gives a false impression to the person from whom the information was withheld. It subverts the truth; it is a way to manipulate someone into altering their behavior to suit the desire of the person who intentionally withheld the vital information; and, most importantly, it's a gross violation of another person's right of self-determination. As a news organazation, you have no credibility.

Once again the media has put their own spin on things. I don't trust anything they say.

And just how did the school respond? By hiding everyone under their desks and locking their doors? This update does not mention that the hero is someone who had a gun and was not afraid to use it.
