NEW BRAUNFELS -- New Braunfels police say a man injured himself and his friend during an accidental shooting late Saturday.
An initial investigation indicates the shooting occurred when a 30-year-old man was showing his 24-year-old friend his handgun when it accidentally fired off, reads a news release issued by the police department.
The shooter injured his hand and his friend was shot in his abdomen, police said.
The men, who are both from New Braunfels, were transported to University Hospital. Their medical conditions were not immediately known on Sunday.
