SAN ANTONIO -- A neighborhood is on edge after a cat was found mutilated over the weekend.
The cat's body was found in a yard near San Pedro and McCarty on the North Side. Witnesses said the cat had been skinned and its head was cut off.
Neighbors told News 4 WOAI it is not the first time something like this has happened. It's actually the 4th time this year, and police are investigating. The last time it happened was in April when a cat was found in a driveway.
For now, people who live in the neighborhood are keeping an eye out for one another.
"It's a danger to our neighborhood," said Jim Campbell who lives in the neighborhood and owns a cat. "I mean, basically, we have a real tight neighborhood when it comes to animals and something like this happens...it's just disturbing for everyone."
If you have any information about the killings and mutilations, please immediately call police at 210-207-SAPD (7273).
